Some good books that I've read over these last few months.

Excellent! Max is a great storyteller, and makes some great points about what love really is. That which we receive and that which we [should] give.

Good tips on how to maximize our time with God and allow His word to change us.

Takes place in Colombia.  Mr. Stendal was taken captive and talks about how God used his time in captivity to grow him-and give him opportunities to share truth with his captors.  The appendix also has excellent teaching on the Sermon on the Mount and practical ways to apply it to life and relationships.

This is one of the best books I've read in a long time.  It's a neat story of George's life, work and love.  How often I take prayer (conversation with and trust in God) for granted.

This is also a refreshing reminder of our need to walk with God in the small moments as well as the glorious ones. It all matters for His kingdom and our character.

Started this in class and was so engrossed in it, that I finished it even after the class was over and it was no longer required.  How easily we fall pray to the devil's tactics.
Bonus: this is what I'm reading right now.  It's sad…but with hopeful.
Bonus: my new year's resolution was to read through the Bible in Spanish in a year. I'm in 1 Samuel, and it's always cool to go back to the Old Testament and be reminded of how EVERYTHING in God's word is part of His plan and big picture story of redemption.
