Homemade Hummus

















Every recipe I could find for hummus calls for sesame butter (tahini).   Of course I do not have any of that--nor had I ever heard of it.  But I wanted hummus today so I adapted the recipe and I think it turned out pretty delicious if I do say so myself and exponentially cheaper!



Here's the recipe:
1 Can Chickpeas drained and rinsed
1/2 Cup Chickpea Water (from can)
 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
 2 Garlic Cloves
1 tsp cumin
1-2 medium roasted red pepper(s)

Grind it all up in the food processor and enjoy with veggies, sandwiches, wraps, or pita chips!
